YouTube!

Hey guys! Hope you're all going well.
My ex, Gaz, and I did a duet recently and he posted it to his channel (Geeky and Dangerous, please check out his solo stuff!) so I thought I would share it with you all.
Let me know if you enjoy it.

Archer Update

My littlest baby isn't so little anymore. Actually, let's be honest. That kid has never been particularly little. I swear he only learned to walk so that he could carry two bits of food at once. True story.
He's such a tornado. Made of gosh knows how many kilograms of pudding and vigor as he storms about the house wreaking havoc. He particularly enjoys pulling the tiles in the kitchen up, eating dirt and my makeup sponges and being loud. Very loud.
Arch's first proper word was "stick" as he held a drumstick aloft and that one act defines his character so well. He absolutely loves music and has perfected his twerking much to my disgust.
He is fearless, cuddly, happy, relaxed, vivacious and charming. He constantly has us laughing and adores Leopold almost too much.
His haemangioma is controlled now and according to the Royal Children's should be fully gone by the time he is five years old. Thankfully it is not affecting his sight so surgery will likely be unnecessary. Hallelujah!
I love my Squishy Bub to the end of the Earth. He truly is a gem. A potato gem.

Leopold Update

Leopold is precocious, precious and pedantic. He knows what he wants and how to get it and man can he talk his way out of everything.
As I mentioned, he is three years old now, still as tiny as ever (although I have no idea of his actual measurements, but he wears almost the same size clothes as his little brother) and has a very big personality. He's affectionate, silly, anxious, musical, polite and hilarious.
Currently we're going through a dinosaur phase. Yep, we have entered that stage of toddlerhood. And God forbid you don't use their proper names. A stegosaurus is a stegosaurus NOT a spike-tail.
He still isn't toilet training yet, and no, I'm not particularly worried. Leo isn't the average little boy and never has been, that's due in part to his sensory issues. I'm sure he'll tackle it when he is good and ready. Just like weaning from breastfeeding, dummies and sleeping through the night (yay! Finally sleeping through the night!)
He's my best friend in the whole world and I absolutely love watching him grow and learn. Our time together is so special now because I only see him half the week. Even as we speak he is sitting next to me and getting me to name various types of Pokemon for him. What a champ.

Let Me Count The Ways...

...in which I suck.
Seriously. I mean, I know my life is busy, but this is just ridiculous. I am ashamed.
Okay, enough with the self hate. My epic amounts of procrastination know no bounds, but only one thing I can do to change that. And that's write a proper blog post.

So many things have changed over the last months I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with the kids.
Leopold turned 3 in June. That's right, 3 whole years old. How time has flown. I will do a proper update on both boys soon, but I feel that the word "insane" sums up Leo pretty accurately. For those of you who are friends with me on Facebook you will be familiar with his 'Leopoldisms' and general craziness. Gosh he is amazing.
Archer is now 1, 14 months to be exact and a walking, babbling monster. He's the polar opposite of his big brother in every way, but is such a joy.

Gaz and I separated in December of last year (can't remember if I have already mentioned that or not) and with very little effort have managed to become the best of friends. The absolute best. I love that man. He's now the primary caregiver to the boys as I am studying Specialist Makeup Artistry part time in the city and working freelance and goodness he is such a great, involved father.

My studies and work are going well. My love life is a permanent shambles, but we really won't get into that. Okay?!
Hopefully I'm moving out with my little brother and best friend soon (yes, Gaz and I still live together. No, it's not weird), but until then I will just keep on doing what I do and fingers crossed prioritise this blog more. Because I don't suck despite my lack of posts. Really, I'm awesome. I promise.

New Year!

Well Happy New Year ya'll! Cannot believe how quickly 2013 flew by. It was certainly an exciting year for me. What were some highlights for you?
A few people have asked me what my resolutions/goals for this year are and it's safe to say there are A LOT. I'm really hoping to make 2014 a great one for me.

-My first goal is to just feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to be confident in everything I wear. This kind of ties in with losing about 10kg and toning up. I've started clean eating and exercising more and hope to continue that :)

-I also want to ace my course and do well in working towards my diploma. VERY excited to start studying and working. Sfx makeup is definitely my biggest passion (other than motherhood) and I'd love to start working in the field a.s.a.p. If you have any work for me please email me at madii.c.wilsonjones@gmail.com or message me on my Facebook page that I'll link below.

-Third goal is to get my license. About freaking time right?! There is something embarrassing about being 22 and not being able to drive, mostly because I have 18 year old friends who are driving -_- I'd love to buy a car too!

-To be the best mum I can be and spend more quality time with my boys. They deserve the very best and I worry sometimes that I am being complacent and not making the most of their childhood. This will be especially true once I start studying and have 3 full days that I don't really see them :(

So that's it for me really. I had a good end to 2013; my newest nephew was born on Christmas Day and then I rang in the new year with lots of friends, drinking and Guitar Hero (which I kick arse at by the way). This year has gotten off to an interesting start with Archer coming down with roseola and being sick :( He's definitely getting better though (thank goodness). I kind of love the extra cuddles, such a snuggle pot, but seeing him unwell is awful!

Anyway, let me know how you are all going! How are you enjoying 2014 so far?
